..."Raise The Dead" sounds like a mixture out of an old Blue Cheer live bootleg and MC5´s "Kick Out The Jams" album...the sound is full of variety and the main thing is that they´ve caught the live athmosphere really good. ... just the right stuff to kick back for about an hour.

This music is absolutely heavy...as heavy as Hawkwind, Black Sabbath and Saint Vitus combined. A bass like bubbling lava, drums sounding like a herd of mammoths, guitars like the cries of a flock of ichthyosaurs. This is psychedelic jam rock at its finest. The band’s peers would be along the lines of Hawkwind, Josiah, Masters of Reality, and Colour Haze – fluid playing without much distortion, focusing instead on riffs that have plenty of breathing room. Marble Sheep’s For Demolition of a Spiritual Framework is a keeper.

this CD features some high octane garage rock meets psychedelic freakout music. The band is much more consistent than their freak brothers, Acid Mother’s Temple, who are pretty much over the top insane most of the time. The CD can go from total over the top freak out stuff to quite melodic stuff with really great lead guitar by Ken Matsutani (owner of Captain Trips Records). We get 8 tracks in about 40 minutes in a beautiful fold out digipack. The band packs the most impact though when going to the edges of listenable music but not too far and really creating a psychedelic whirlwind. Quite an experience…

MC5 meets Amon Düül II meets Sex Pistols - so ähnlich würde ich die Musik umschreiben. Und um es gleich vorweg zu sagen, sie wecken Tote auf. Laut, sowie schnell und schneller zelebrieren sie Jams an den Gitarren, zu denen Bass und beide Schlagzeuger ein Fundament legen, demgegenüber Black Sabbath als zartes, feinfühliges Ensemble erscheint. Harte Riffs, wuchtiger Bass und lautes Schlagzeug lassen die Wände wackeln und trotzdem schimmern immer wieder spacige, psychedelische Gitarrenlinien durch.

Die Krümel deines letzten Joints liegen noch über die PC-Tastatur verstreut und du bist nicht sicher, ob du als nächstes ein Album von Hawkwind, Amon Düül, Black Sabbath, MC5, Steppenwolf oder Damo Suzuki auflegen sollst. Spätestens jetzt kommen Marble Sheep ins Bild.
